Antihedron represents a stylistic shift toward the "Orthodox" and the avant-garde. Released in 2017(with a wider vinyl/CD repress in 2019) via the esteemed Dark Descent Records, this EP is widely considered the bridge between their chaotic debut and their more structured sophomore effort.
Unlike many of their Finnish peers who lean into a melodic or "folk-tinged" Black Metal sound, DEVOURING STAR (led by the visionary JL) crafts music that feels architectural and oppressive.
