THE FARTZ – Injustice (15 Working Class Songs) (sealed LP copy) (2002) Released by Alternative Tentacles on Traditional Black vinyl - includes folded lyric insert.

Originally recorded in December 2001 at Private Radio, Fremont. Injustice (15 Working Class Songs), released in 2002 via Jello Biafra’s Alternative Tentacles label, was a major statement. It marked the first album of entirely new material from the Seattle legends since their 1999 reformation.

THE FARTZ were pioneers of the early 80's Seattle Hardcore scene, famous for their blistering speed and for being the launching pad for Blaine Cook (who later fronted the "splatter rock" icons The Accüsed) and briefly featuring a young Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses) on drums.

While their 2001 release What’s In A Name? mostly revisited older tracks, Injustice was a direct, aggressive response to the post-9/11 political climate and the Bush era.

Injustice proved that "Old School" bands didn't have to become legacy acts. THE FARTZ maintained the sub-two-minute song structures and the "Darby Crash-esque" vocal snarl that made them famous in 1981, but applied it to a new generation of social frustration.

The band was so notorious for their name that when they originally split in the 80's and some members formed 10 Minute Warning, they did so specifically because they thought no one would take a band called "THE FARTZ" seriously as they moved toward a more complex sound.
By 2002, they clearly stopped caring about that. -- Alternative Tentacles – VIRUS 279
