After half a decade of not releasing new music, IGNITE are ready to get back to work with their new vocalist Eli Santana up front and a new album in hand.
This
Self-Titled release marked a pivotal new chapter for the
Orange County Melodic Hardcore veterans. It is the band’s
6th full-length studio album and the first to feature vocalist
Eli Santana(known for his work in Holy Grail), who stepped in after the departure of longtime singer
Zoli Téglás.
Despite the lineup change, the album retains the classic Ignite sound—blending high-speed Hardcore energy with soaring, melodic vocals and socially conscious lyrics.
The record features a crisp, powerful production that highlights the tight rhythmic interplay and the technical precision of the guitar work.
Fans of the band’s earlier work like
Our Darkest Days will find familiar territory in the driving tempos and the
"shout-along" choruses that have defined the band for decades.
“It’s a new chapter for IGNITE,” reaffirms Brett. “But there’s a lot of looking back to some of our earliest records like Call on My Brothers and having the same feeling writing these songs with a new singer.” In these Southern California stalwarts’ minds, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
“This is what we love doing – as it was in 1993 and as it is now.”
