The 6th full-length studio album from PESTILENCE. Released on April 24th, 2011, 'Doctrine' features frrontman Patrick Mameli on guitars as well as vocals. This album was known for its use of a 12-string guitar, creating a very sludgy and thick guitar tone. On top of that, you have Jeroen Paul Thesseling on bass, adding on to that 'Jazz-Metal-Fusion' partially heard on some tracks.
Patrick Mameli takes a more adventurous approach with the vocals than on previous albums, much more hitting the high register and projecting an atmosphere perfectly fitting the album's theme.
