Originally released in 1981, Pleasant Dreams is the 6th full-length studio album by the RAMONES and marks a pivotal moment where the band leaned heavily into their 1960's pop and "bubblegum" influences.
Produced by Graham Gouldman (of 10cc fame), the album is often described as their most polished and "power-pop" effort, trading some of the raw thrash of their debut for melodic hooks and radio-ready production.
The record features a clear divide in styles, with Joey providing the pop-infused melodies and Dee Dee contributing darker, more cynical tracks like"You Sound Like You're Sick" and "It's Not My Place (In The 9 To 5 World)."
