ANGELCORPSE (USA) - Of Lucifer And Lighting (new LP copy; not sealed) (2022) Osmose Productions (re-issue) on 180gram Orange Crush w/Black Marble Effect in a gatefold sleeve, full-color w/black flood inside on 350g with UV partial lacquer, all assembled in a PVC overbag - limited to only 250 copies.

Hard to believe it's been eight years since ANGELCORPSE released The Inexorable and then vanished into the wasteland of 'split-up' bands. I never thought we'd hear anything else from them, but here we are with the much-anticipated 4th full-length studio album we never thought we'd get. The amazing thing is not just that the album is here at all, but that it was actually worth waiting for.

ANGELCORPSE are still the real deal. The production, the riffs, the songwriting – it all sounds just like an AC album is supposed to sound. I lived in dread of some fucking Pro-Tools mashed abomination that would make them sound like every other damned Death Metal band out there, but no. ANGELCORPSE actually produced an album that not only sounds like it was recorded the year after Inexorable, it sounds just as good.

Songwriting-wise it is every bit as good as The Inexorable in that same rough, evil, chaotic style sounds pretty damned good. Here's to the guys in ANGELCORPSE for remembering what their fans wanted in the first place and giving it to them with both fucking hands on the axe handle.
