  Blizzard Of Ozz is the debut full-length solo album by British Heavy Metal icon Ozzy Osbourne. 
A foundational pillar of Heavy Metal! Released in 1980, Blizzard Of Ozz didn't just launch Ozzy Osbourne’s solo career; it introduced the world to the neoclassical shredding of Randy Rhoads, changing the trajectory of guitar playing forever.
This album is the perfect bridge between the dark, sludgy riffs of Black Sabbath and the high-energy, technical "shred" era of the 80's. Randy Rhoads brought a level of sophistication—incorporating classical scales and intricate "double-tracking" techniques—that gave OZZY a fresh, cinematic sound.
 The recording for the album began on March 22nd, 1980 at Ridge Farm Studios in rural Surrey, a residential facility based around a 17th-century farmhouse and officially released on September 20th, 1980 in the UK and on March 27th, 1981 in the US.
