The Vandals - Fear Of A Punk Planet LP (Re-press) (2020)

  • THE VANDALS (CA, USA) - Fear Of A Punk Planet (2020 Kung Fu Records Re-issue on Transparent Green vinyl - sealed LP copy). This release carries all the bonus tracks of the "Anniversary Edition" but has the art of the classic edition. You're welcome.

The 3rd full-length classic album from The Vandals, which launched the Josh Freese era, produced by the late, great, Bob Casale of DEVO.  This is the first album of the Josh Freese era recorded in 1990 while Joe was in law school. We were very excited to have an album produced by Bob Casale, aka Bob 2 of Devo. This is the dawn of the line-up that endures to this day, 25 years later. The album returned the band to their Punk Rock sound, after having played mostly in a country style on their previous album "Slippery When Ill." The band would stick to this Punk Rock formula throughout the rest of their career. The album's title called to mind the rap album "Fear of a Black Planet" by Public Enemy, released that same year. It featured guest appearances by Dweezil and Moon Unit Zappa, Scott Thunes and Kelsey GrammerKung Fu Records – 78778-1
