 BLEAKNESS are a band from the French town of Nantes, France. They walk the line between moody 80's Goth and Modern Hardcore perfectly. Their music is fast and riff-heavy drawing obvious influence from the great Johnny Marr. 
But
 they also do some dark, atmospheric Post-Punk brooding, and the 
combination is a rich and compelling one. Also, the fact that the vocals/singing comes with a French accent makes the screaming feel somewhat 
more...cultured. 
In any case, the band has just 
followed up last year’s Ruined Fate EP with a new one called Frozen Refuge, and it’s incredibly compelling, demanding of several repeated listens.
