This is widely considered one of the greatest tribute albums ever assembled. Released during the height of the 90's Metal and Industrial boom, it features a heavy-hitting lineup of bands paying homage to the Godfathers of Heavy Metal. It was so successful it eventually earned Platinum certification.
The track-list reads like a "who’s who" of 90's heavy music, featuring Megadeth, Pantera, White Zombie, and Sepultura.
Some tracks stay true to the doom-laden originals, while others—like Type O Negative’s contribution—completely transform the songs into the covering band's signature style.
