OVERCAST formed in August 1991 and were one of the earliest bands to play the modern, melodic style of Metalcore that the Massachusetts scene popularized, including OVERCAST members' later bands Killswitch Engage bassist Mike D'Antonio and Shadows Fall vocalist Brian Fair. 
Originally released in 1997 on Edison Recordings, Fight Ambition To Kill is the 2nd (and final) full-length studio album from OVERCAST before their initial breakup. It is considered a seminal "holy grail" of the 90's New England Metalcore scene, pushing the experimental boundaries of their debut into much darker, heavier territory.
