PAGAN HERITAGE (Netherlands/Ireland) - Forn Shed (sealed CD copy) (2007) Released by Candarian Demon Productions in a standard jewel case w/clear tray - limited to 1,000 copies.

A deep cut from the Dutch underground, "Forn Sed" is the sole full-length studio release from PAGAN HERITAGE, the solo project of musician William Timmer. Released in 2007 via Candarian Demon Productions this album is a textbook example of raw, traditional Pagan Black Metal.
"Forn Sed" (Old Norse for "Old Customs") is a stark departure from the polished, folk-heavy Pagan Metal often seen today. Instead, it leans heavily into the Second Wave Black Metal aesthetic of the early 90's.
The production is intentionally thin and cold, capturing a haunting, rehearsal-room atmosphere that favors grit over clarity.
The album largely avoids relentless blast-beats, opting instead for a depressing, mid-to-fast tempo that allows the melodic, distorted riffs to breathe.
Timmer employs a ghostly, rasping whisper that sounds as if it’s echoing through a cavern, adding to the "haunted" feel of the record.

One-man band (Socratic Wrath-vocals, guitars, bass, flutes & drums) originating from Holland and then relocating to Ireland. This is epic mid-paced, dreary, Pagan Black Metal. An album that will leave "Tears On Your Grave" from the Revival Of The Heathen Warriors.
