 Californian Skate Punk veterans PULLEY have just released their 7th full-length studio album, The Golden Life, on May 13th, 2022 via SBÄM Records (co-released by Canadian label Dusty Wax Records).  Since 1996, the band continue to prove that they've still got the same knack for churning out fast-paced, melodic Punk Rock that they had on their now classic early records. If you miss the glory days of Punk-O-Rama, these lifers still scratch the itch.
Front man (and former Major League Baseball pitcher) Scott Radinsky had this to say about the new music: "Golden life, observing a generation of kids who have seemingly been robbed of an experience. Life without ease of access to good, and/or bad. Much of what they have seen in the world has been negative, unimaginable terrorist acts, war and violence, a division of people. In regards to music, our generation really had to earn it if we wanted to get a proper listen or visual. Technology, although having its good aspects, has removed an experience that offered a deeper appreciation of life."   
The Golden Life enforces a Punk spin and does what it sets out to do, and that’s giving people a natural embrace. As a record of substance, it doesn’t rely on the same done-to-death riff or an overly used lyric. It actually tells a story, and one that tackles many themes. These themes are dark and somewhat depressive. 
PULLEY certainly aren’t a collective to shy away from the razor-sharp, cutting realism that life brings. This new record dodges clichés and hyperbolic intentions. It’s also a record of hard-hitting songs, which are melodic and sincere.
