SUTURE (Louisiana, USA) - Skeletal Vortex (sealed CD copy) (2012) Soulflesh Collector Records (re-issue) in a standard jewel case w/clear tray. **THIS RE-ISSUE VERSION CONTAINS REMASTERED AUDIO**

"Skeletal Vortex" is the 2nd full-length studio album from the Louisiana-based Brutal Death Metal act SUTURE. Originally released in 2008, the album is often cited as a "hidden gem" of the US Underground, blending the sheer velocity of the Florida scene with the technical, crushing weight of New York Death Metal.

The album features a powerhouse three-piece performance, with Jayson Ramsay pulling double duty on both drums and vocals, alongside Jason McIntyre (guitars) and Bruno Muenzler (bass).

This is uncompromising, high-speed Brutal Death Metal. Fans often compare it to a hybrid of Morbid Angel's swirling riffs and Suffocation's percussive slam elements.
Ramsay’s vocals are exceptionally deep, guttural bellows that remain rhythmic and punchy, avoiding the "pig squeal" tropes of the era in favor of a more classic, Glen Benton-inspired delivery.
While the album is relentless, it is noted for its "measured" songwriting. It isn't just noise; there are subtle melodic strains and eerie, atmospheric transitions that give the songs a sense of "philosophical dread."

The cover art was created by the renowned Japanese artist Toshihiro Egawa, famous for his intricate and grotesque work for bands like Devourment and Suicide Silence. -- Soulflesh Collector – SFC12-050
