CORDYCEPS are a three-piece band from Las Vegas, Nevada. “Black
 Blood Butchery” is the band's debut EP, consisting of five tracks and 
clocking in at just over 15 minutes. 
The artwork was done by MFA XII. It’s different for Brutal Death Metal, with a more simple black and 
white design instead of the stereotypical pile of rotting dead bodies.
The EP was 
officially released on June 1st, 2017 by American label New Standard Elite. The vocals are punchy, low, hard-hitting growls, with a few screams thrown 
in for good measure. The music is fresh, technical, and has plenty of 
variety, yet the music retains brutality. 
 There are fantastic riffs as 
well as grooves keeping things interesting, which can be heard all throughout the debut offering. Andrew LoMastro of Cerebral Incubation provided guest vocals for the track “Predatorial Existence”
