DANZIG – Danzig II: Lucifuge (used LP copy) (2025 American Recordings/UMe Re-issue on Traditional Black vinyl - includes standard LP jacket, printed inner-sleeve and standard weight vinyl.

The Crossroads of Heavy Metal and Hellbound Blues.  If DANZIG’s 1988 debut was a warning shot, 1990’s DANZIG II: Lucifuge was the moment the band completely claimed the throne. Widely considered by purists to be the definitive DANZIG masterpiece, "Lucifuge" takes the raw, Heavy Metal skeleton of the first record and drenches it in a dark, sweaty, crossroads-blues atmosphere.

This isn't polite radio blues—it’s the back-alley, occult-tinged, soul-selling kind, delivered with an unmistakable underworld swagger.

Reunited with producer Rick Rubin, the band—featuring the classic lineup of John Christ, Eerie Von, and Chuck Biscuits—crafted a sound that is both heavier and vastly more dynamic than its predecessor.  Rubin’s signature stripped-back, punchy production lets every instrument breathe, giving the album a dangerous "band-in-the-room" energy.

From the hard-marching, door-kicking opener "Long Way Back From Hell" and the groove-laden gospel-from-the-pit anthems like "Snakes Of Christ" and "Devil's Plaything," to the immortal gothic sleaze of "Her Black Wings," "Lucifuge" is a masterclass in Dark Rock 'n' Roll.

It even showcases Glenn Danzig’s vulnerability on "Blood And Tears," a hauntingly brilliant nod to a Roy Orbison-style heartbreak ballad.  --  American Recordings – 602478376337, UMe – 602478376337
