Officially released on April 26th, 2024, Banished By Sin is the 13th full-length studio album by the Florida Death Metal icons DEICIDE. It marks their first release under the label Reigning Phoenix Music and their first full-length since 2018's Overtures Of Blasphemy.
The album continues the band's late-era style—a fusion of the high-speed, chaotic brutality of their early 90's work (Legion) with the more melodic, lead-driven approach they adopted in the mid-2000's.
It features a very crisp, punchy, and contemporary production. While some purists find it a bit "sterile," it allows the intricate guitar work of Taylor Nordberg (making his studio debut with the band) and veteran Kevin Quirion to shine.
