Originally released in 2022, "Dark Paths Of Humanity" is the debut full-length studio album from the Spanish Death Metal quartet INTOLERANCE. Hailing from Zaragoza, the band delivers a masterclass in "era-authentic" Old School Death Metal (OSDM) that feels like a lost relic from 1991.
This is pure, unadulterated OSDM. The album is built on a "tank-tread" guitar tone—thick, heavy, and punishing. It avoids modern clean production in favor of a murky, cavernous atmosphere that focuses on "demise and putrefaction."
You can hear the DNA of the early 90's masters throughout the tracks. It specifically echoes the mid-tempo crush of Bolt Thrower, the gloom of Asphyx, and the buzzsaw aggression of Swedish legends like Grave and Entombed.
