KILLSWITCH ENGAGE – Alive Or Just Breathing (sealed LP copy) (2025) Released by Roadrunner Records on Traditional Black Gatefold vinyl.

The Foundational Blueprint Of Modern Metalcore

Originally unleashed in May 2002, "Alive Or Just Breathing" isn’t just a classic album—it’s the definitive blueprint that shaped the entire landscape of 2000's Heavy music scene. This second studio masterpiece from Massachusetts titans KILLSWITCH ENGAGE seamlessly fused the raw aggression of Hardcore breakdowns with Gothenburg-style Melodic Thrash riffs, setting a standard that thousands of bands would spend the next two decades trying to replicate.

Produced by the band’s own multi-instrumentalist mastermind Adam Dutkiewicz and mixed by the legendary Andy Sneap, the album’s sonic punch remains unmatched. It stands as a monumental moment in Metal history, capturing vocalist Jesse Leach's fiercely emotional, positive, and spiritual lyrics right before his initial departure from the band.
