WHITE LUNG released "Premonition" on December 2nd, 2022, through Domino Recording Co. It serves as the Vancouver-based trio's 5th and final studio album, marking the end of their 16-year run.
The record was actually tracked years before its release, but its arrival was delayed by a series of life-altering events. Lead singer Mish Barber-Way became a mother (twice), got sober, and moved to Los Angeles—all while the world went into pandemic lockdown.
The result is a more mature, though no less aggressive, sound. While their previous work was often defined by nihilism and chaos, "Premonition" balances that trademark fury with themes of maternal love, sobriety, and the strange anxiety of "growing up."
